Sherif Mourad is Professor of Urology at Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt.
Professor of Urology at Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt – Subspecialty in Neurourology and Urogynecology. He was the Head of the Unit of Voiding Dysfunction and Director of Post-Graduate Training in Urology Department, Ain Shams University.
He obtained his MD thesis at McGill University, Montreal, Canada. With special interest in Lower Urinary Tract Disease, Overactive Bladder, Female Urology, and Neurostimulation.
Recently became the General Secretary of the Egyptian Urological Association (EUA).
Currently he is the Board Director of the Egyptian Urological Guidelines.
Professor Mourad is the Chairman of Board of Katameya Clinic for Medical Services and Katameya Clinic Hospitals.
Professor Mourad has ended his term as the General Secretary of the International Continence Society (ICS) based in Bristol – United Kingdom and now serving as the Chair of the ICS Committee for Developing World.
He is member the Global Philanthropic Committee for the support of Developing World.
He is Founder and President of the Pan Arab Continence Society and African Fistula and Continence Society.
He is Director and Tutor for the Bristol Urological Institute’s Middle East Courses.
He is the Founder and Vice President of the Egyptian Society for Urological Researches (ESURS).
Member of the Scientific Committee of the World Congress of Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms of the Societe International de Urologie (SIU), Marrakesh 2010.
On the scientific committee of the Societe International de Urologie (SIU) 2017 – 2018 – 2019.
Member the Taskforce of pelvic Floor Reconstruction of the FIGO (International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics).
Currently conducting surgical and educational missions in Africa helping in the treatment of Obstetric Fistulae and training African Doctors how to manage the possible complications. He is the director of the ICS workshops for Surgery of Vaginal Fistula.
On the Editorial Board of Continence, Neurourology and Urodynamics Journal and the Current Bladder Dysfunction Journal , The Editor of Bladder Dysfunction (Inflammatory Diseases) and is a reviewer for the British Journal of Urology, International Urogynecology Journal, Neurourology and Urodynamics Journal, Advances in Urology, Urologia Internationalis, and several regional journals.
Conducting a well established training course of Urogynecology in Egypt and receiving trainees of urologists and gynecologists from many countries.
A Guest Speaker, Chairman and Moderator in many regional (Arab) and International events including Asian, European and American scientific meetings.
Active Member of the AUA, EAU, ICS, ICI, SIU, IUGA, FIGO, ICUD, AFFCS, ISOFS ISSM, EUA, AAU and others.
